We are proud of our alumni
My name is Michael Benjamin Sands and I am a proud BBCC alumnus. As one of the first graduates in 1998, I obtained an Associates of Arts Degree in Chemistry with Mathematics. As a student, I was very active in student life as a founder/leader/director for the gospel chorale, piano player for weekly chapels & Mathematics student teaching assistant. Because of the stepping stone BBCC has provided me I obtained a Bachelor of Science Degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Detroit-Mercy and a Master of Science degree in Material Science & Engineering from Wayne State University. My entire college training has prepared me to now work as a Materials Engineer in the Automotive industry in Michigan and to present technical papers released in USA national publications. I am proud to say this all began with a college career that started at BBCC!! Thank you BBCC.
Name: Holley P. Sands
Current Position: KPMG (Bahamas), Senior Administrative Assistant
AA Program: Business Administration/Management
Year Graduated: 2018
Highlights of BBCC Experience: My experience at BBCC was a challenging but rewarding and fun-filled one from the time I entered through the doors of admissions all the way through to the classrooms. BBCC left a lasting impression on my heart because it taught me the value of being remembered by name and not just a number like most huge learning institutions. It meant everything to me for my lecturers to know my name and for them to see who Holley was and what potential I had hidden underneath my complex abilities
Thank you for accepting me with all the flaws and hiccups; I wouldn’t trade my professors or Administrative staff for anything.
I loved my time spent at BBCC and I would I do it all over again!
My name is Atiya S Coakley. I am currently a 17 year serving member of The Royal Bahamas Defence Force and hold the rank of Leading Woman Marine. Recently, I graduated with the illustrious class of 2018 attaining an Associates of Arts Degree in Human Resources Management.
My tenure at The Bahamas Baptist Community College was a lifelong experience that I will never forget. There I learnt many things like endurance, perseverance, adaptability, lasting friendships, but most of all I learnt how to challenge my mind and set higher standards for myself. The college isn’t just a learning institution for academics, but a place where students can learn how to work with groups as well as the importance of time management. Truly, there are so many memories and experiences that I will cherish. However, most importantly The Bahamas Baptist Community College has given me the drive to continue to succeed academically.

I am currently working at the Royal Bank of Canada (RBC) as a Banking Advisor in Moncton, New Brunswick, Canada. The best part of my experience at BBCC was the process of starting from College Prep to graduating with my Associates degree. This process taught me to be patient, but at the same time to work hard.
