The Associate Degree in Health Information Technology at Bahamas Baptist University College (BBUC) is a forward-thinking two-year program that prepares students to manage and analyze healthcare data in today’s digital age. This program integrates health sciences, technology, and business principles to equip students with skills in medical coding, health data analysis, electronic health records management, and compliance with healthcare regulations. With a combination of theoretical knowledge and practical training, students learn to optimize information systems that enhance patient care and organizational efficiency. Graduates are prepared for certification and careers in hospitals, clinics, insurance companies, and other healthcare settings, playing a critical role in maintaining the integrity and security of health information systems.  




The Associate Degree in Medical Laboratory Technology at Bahamas Baptist University College (BBUC) is a comprehensive two-year program designed to train students in the essential skills of clinical laboratory science. Students gain in-depth knowledge of microbiology, hematology, clinical chemistry, and immunology while mastering laboratory techniques used to analyze biological samples. The program combines rigorous classroom instruction with hands-on laboratory training and clinical rotations, ensuring graduates are well-prepared to perform diagnostic tests that aid in the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of diseases. Upon completion, graduates are eligible to pursue certification and employment in hospitals, diagnostic laboratories, research facilities, and public health organizations, contributing to the advancement of healthcare through precise and reliable laboratory work. 


The Bachelor of Pharmacy (BPharm) program at Bahamas Baptist University College (BBUC) is an intensive five-year program structured as a 2+3 track, blending foundational sciences with advanced pharmaceutical education and clinical training. The first two years focus on core subjects such as biology, chemistry, anatomy, and introductory pharmacy principles, preparing students for the professional phase. The subsequent three years delve into pharmacology, clinical therapeutics, pharmaceutical technology, and patient care, with extensive hands-on training through internships and clinical rotations. This program equips graduates with the skills to excel in various pharmacy settings, including community pharmacies, hospitals, and pharmaceutical research. Graduates are also prepared to meet the licensing requirements for practice as professional pharmacists, contributing to the advancement of healthcare in the Bahamas and beyond.  


The Associate Degree in Surgical Technology at Bahamas Baptist University College (BBUC) is a dynamic two-year program designed to train students as essential members of the surgical team. Combining foundational knowledge with practical clinical experience, the program prepares students to assist surgeons during procedures by maintaining sterile environments, handling surgical instruments, and ensuring patient safety throughout operations. Students will study anatomy, surgical procedures, medical terminology, and aseptic techniques while gaining hands-on experience in real-world surgical settings. Graduates of the program will be well-equipped to pursue certification and careers in hospitals, outpatient surgery centers, and other healthcare facilities, contributing to the delivery of high-quality surgical care.


The Associate Degree in Radiologic Technology at Bahamas Baptist University College (BBUC) is a comprehensive two-year program designed to prepare students for entry-level positions in medical imaging. This program combines rigorous theoretical coursework with hands-on clinical training, equipping students with the skills to operate advanced imaging equipment, perform diagnostic radiographic procedures, and prioritize patient safety. Students will learn anatomy, physiology, radiologic physics, and imaging techniques while gaining practical experience in clinical settings under the supervision of certified professionals. Graduates will be eligible to sit for regional or international certification exams, opening opportunities for careers in hospitals, clinics, and diagnostic centers, as well as further specialization in advanced imaging modalities.

Nathan L. Sweeting is a speaker, author and the CEO of NLS Global. His simple approach to self mastery has empowered thousands of ambitious individuals to clarify their goals, break bad habits (including procrastination) and master their mindset.
Nathan brings over 9 years of expertise and has given over 200 keynotes, co-designed the Bahamas National Wellness Program Pilot, self-published 2 books, and served as an adjunct college instructor at The Bahamas Technical and Vocational Institute (BTVI) for 3 years.
Before all of that, Nathan had a self-management problem: He was 50lbs overweight, suffered from an 18-year smoking addiction and alcohol abuse, was terrified of public speaking, and was constantly held back by procrastination, self-doubt and insecurities.
Nathan’s life story and transformation allows him to connect with others looking to become better versions of themselves.
He is a husband and father first … being married to his wife Nicole for 11 years and having 1 daughter – who is the sunshine of his life.

BBUC Launch New Pharmacy and Nursing Program

This milestone occasion is a defining moment in our institution’s history, as it aligns with the celebration of our 30th Anniversary time of reflection, renewal, and remarkable progress. These new programs represent a bold step forward in our mission to train future healthcare professionals and respond to the evolving needs of national development.




Greetings faculty and staff of Bahamas Baptist University College. I want to start by expressing my deepest gratitude to each one of you for your dedication and commitment to our students and our institution over the previous 8 months. Your hard work and passion are the backbone of BBUC, and it’s because of your efforts that we continue to thrive and grow.
Over the past year, we’ve faced numerous challenges and opportunities, from navigating the complexities of moving from online learning to face-face and to making provision to expand our academic programs. Through it all, we’ve demonstrated adaptability, and a focus on our mission: to educate and empower our students for a brighter future.
As we gather here today for our annual Faculty Development Workshop, I want to encourage each of you to embrace the theme of innovation and excellence. Our students rely on us not only to impart knowledge but to inspire critical thinking, creativity, and a lifelong love of learning. Let’s challenge ourselves to find new ways to engage, motivate, and support our students, ensuring they receive the best possible education.
This workshop is not just a time for learning but also for collaboration. Let’s take advantage of this opportunity to share ideas, best practices, and experiences with one another. Remember, our strength lies in our community, and together, we can overcome any obstacle and achieve great things.




Reverend Dr. Anthony A. Sampson currently serves as the Senior Pastor at Zion South Beach Baptist Church, Zion Boulevard, South Beach.
He also lectured at The Bahamas Baptist Community College and served as Recording Secretary for The Bahamas National Baptist Missionary and Educational Convention.
Reverend Dr. Sampson has an undergraduate degree in Religion & Philosophy from Florida Memorial University, a Master of Divinity Degree from Colgate Rochester Crozer Divinity School and a Master of Science Degree from Barry University.
Reverend Dr. Sampson was ordained in the American Baptist of Churches, Rochester Genesee Region. He has been engaged in ministry from the age of 19 and has served as Assistance Campus Minister at Florida Memorial University, Youth Minister at Memorial Temple Missionary Baptist Church in Miami and Minister for Social Justice at St. Luke Tabernacle in Rochester, New York. While in Seminary,




The Reverend Trajean Jadorette is the Senior Pastor of the New Covenant Baptist Church, whose long standing motto is “A people touched by God & touching others” and is located on the East West Highway, in the beautiful city of Nassau, The Bahamas.
Reverend Jadorette is a born again gospel expositor, with a profound passion to heralding the Good News of the risen Christ through his evangelistic thrust.
He has a passion for the educational advancement of our youth and has over the years spearheaded numerous college tours and has facilitated recruitment for colleges.
He was born in Freeport Grand Bahama, on May 18th, 1973.
Reverend Jadorette received his theological training at the American Baptist College in Nashville, TN. After completing his American Baptist College assignment, he enrolled at Fisk University where he earned a Master’s Degree in Sociology.
He formerly served as Pastor of the First Community Church in Nashville, TN., former Guidance Counselor at C. R. Walker Senior School, and former Director of Christian Education at The Bahamas Baptist Institute.
Reverend Jadorette is also the former Executive Secretary of the Bahamas National Baptist Missionary and Educational Convention.
